Introduction to tailoring: the Coco jacket by Sew Over It
If you've made a few simple garments and want to move your skills to the next level, then this class is for you! The Coco is a classic fitted, lined jacket which is a perfect first tailoring project. The pattern, tuition, equipment and refreshments are all included. You will need to bring 1.4-2.1m of medium to heavyweight fabric, thread, lining fabric and lightweight interfacing. This is a two day class, 10-4 on Saturday and 12-4 on Sunday. please note that the pattern is sized for UK sizes 8-20. Stevie is a simple shift dress or top with optional back tie fastening. It's a perfect project for beginner dressmakers. The price includes the pattern which you can take home and use again and again. You will need to bring light-medium weight fabric and matching thread. Cotton is ideal for beginners or if you're more confident you can use a rayon (viscose) or similar fabric. UK sizes 6-20

Beginners Patchwork and Quilting - 4 Week Course
Learn patchwork and quilting techniques, including cutting, piecing, quilt as you go and binding, and create a selection of quilted projects over the 4 week course, under the expert guidance of tutor Tracy.4 consecutive weeks 9.30-13.30 You can use our sewing machines or bring your own if you prefer. Refreshments included! you will need to provide your own materials for this course, which you can bring or buy in the shop.
Tilly and the Buttons Cleo Dungaree dress class
Learn to sew the super popular Cleo from Tilly and the buttons. A simple pattern, ideal for beginners with a relaxed style that doesn't need tricky fitting adjustments. Your tutor Amanda will give you plenty of support and guidance, as well as sharing all her tips and tricks for successful sewing! The pattern, use of equipment and tuition are included. You will need to bring fabric and notions as indicated on the pattern. Please note that this pattern is sized for UK 6-20 and if you are significantly outside of this range, this class may not be suitable.
Make a lampshade in the fabric of your choice. No sewing required! You will need about ½ a metre of medium weight fabric - cotton or a cotton/linen blend are ideal, which you can bring with you or buy in the shop. All other materials are provided.

Make the Ultimate Shift dress from Sew Over It in this one day class. Suitable for sewists who have completed one or two projects and want to develop their skills, this class will guide you through the steps to make your own dress. The class includes tuition, use of sewing machines and equipment, Sew Over It pattern and refreshments. In this class you will learn to piece a star design and create a beautiful and practical runner for your table. The class is suitable for beginner and intermediate sewists. What you will need: 1m main fabric scraps or a few fat quarters for the star design 0.5m wadding 1 fat quarter for binding Thread
Create your own fantastic cushions in this class which is suitable for beginners.We'll start with an envelope or wrapped cushion cover before learning to insert a zip, use piping and make Oxford style covers. You will need to bring approximately 1m of fabric and matching thread.

Patchwork and quilting: the next step (4 week course)
If you've completed one of our beginner's classes or are confident with the basics of patchwork and quilting, this is a great opportunity to progress your skills. You will be discovering a range of blocks, as well as quilting and finishing options. Sewing children's clothes: the Charlie Hoodie
Make the Charlie Hoodie or tunic by Two Stitches. Suitable for ages 6 months to 9 years, this pattern is a great introduction to sewing with stretch fabric. Pattern included. you will need to bring suitable fabric, matching thread and any other notions indicated on the pattern
Know Your Overlocker
Make the most of your overlocker with this one day class. You will learn how to correctly thread your machine, 3 and 4 thread overlocking, rolled hems, tension adjustment and more in this one day class. please bring your overlocker, together with any feet and accessories and 4 different coloured threads.
